The IACBE Presents Awards at its Annual Conference
Lenexa, Kansas, USA (April 2011) – At its annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 30-April 1, 2011, the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) presented the following awards of excellence:
The John L. Green Award for Excellence in Business Education
The John L. Green Award for Excellence in Business Education honors individuals who have made significant contributions that advance the cause of academic quality in business education in a manner consistent with the IACBE’s "Characteristics of Excellence in Business Education."
2011 Recipient: Dr. Terry Girdon, Head of the Department of Business Administration and Technology Management at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Pennsylvania
The Education Leader of the Year Award
The Education Leader of the Year Award recognizes exemplary educators who are part of the IACBE community and are chosen based on their contributions to higher education, their communities, and the IACBE or the members of the IACBE.
2011 Recipient: Dr. Arlene Mlodzik, Dean of the American Business School in Paris, France
The Excellence in Teaching Award
The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes outstanding faculty members from the IACBE community who have significant records of accomplished teaching in business education.
2011 Recipient: Dr. James Cosgrove, Professor of Business at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri
The Business Leader of the Year Award
The Business Leader of the Year Award recognizes exemplary businesspersons who are part of the IACBE community and are chosen based on their contributions to higher education, their communities, and the IACBE or the members of the IACBE.
2011 Recipient: Mr. James A. Unruh, Former CEO and Chairman of Unisys, Inc., and Founder and Managing Principal, Alerion Capital Group
