Seminar Description
For outcomes assessment to be of value, the process must be relevant and straightforward, and the data must be available, interpretable, and put to use. This seminar focuses on developing an outcomes assessment process that works for you and your students—one that, over time, results in improved student learning outcomes.
Topics covered in the seminar include:
- How to measure educational quality
- Input-based versus outcomes-based accreditation
- Developing an outcomes assessment plan
- Setting program-level student learning goals and objectives
- Developing workable outcomes measures
- Finding and developing rubrics
- Integrating outcomes assessment with strategic planning and budgeting
- Developing strategies and action plans
- How to get everyone on board with outcomes assesment
- Managing outcomes assessment data
This seminarY is for you if any of the following is true:
- You have not developed and fully implemented an outcomes assessment plan
- Your outcomes assessment process is not generating interpretable data
- Your outcomes assessment process is taking substantial time and resources, but is not resulting in increased student learning outcomes
- Your outcomes assessment process is not linked, or is poorly linked to the strategic planning and budgeting processes
