Dr. Beth Castiglia Chair, Board of Commissioners
Dr. Beth Castiglia is the Dean of the division of Business and Management Sciences at Felician College, Rutherford, New Jersey. Dr. Castiglia earned her M.S. in Economics from Pace University and her PhD in Applied Management and Decision Sciences from Walden University.

Dr. Vaughn Benson
Vice-Chair, Board of Commissioners
Vaughn L. Benson, Ph.D., is a Professor of Business and Dean of the School of Business and Technology at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska. Dr. Benson holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Wayne State College, a Master of Science in Business Education from Wayne State College, and a Doctorate of Philosophy degree with emphasis areas in administration of higher education, financial accounting, public accounting, and management information systems from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Since 1974, Dr. Benson has been employed at Wayne State College as a faculty member, Division Head and Dean. Prior to a career in education, Dr. Benson worked in public accounting. In 2001, Dr. Benson was selected as the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants Outstanding Accounting Educator. |

Dr. Jack Green
Dr. Green serves as a Professor of Management at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts, where he previously served as the business department chair. Dr. Green has been active in the IACBE for several years, having previously served two terms on the Board of Directors.
Dr. Green has extensive industry experience, having served as Chair of the Board of Directors for Arrow Mutual Liability Insurance Company, as Senior Vice-President for Converse, Inc., and as General Counsel for the Prestolite Company. Dr. Green earned his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Michigan Law School. |

Dr. John Thomas
Dr. Thomas is the Dean of the College of Business Administration for Urbana University in Urbana, Ohio, where he previously served as Chair of the Division of Business, Director of the MBA program, and as a marketing professor. Dr. Thomas holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree in marketing from Nova Southeastern University and an MBA in marketing from Youngstown State University. He is a member of the American Marketing Association and the Association of Marketing Theory and Practice. |

Dr. Chip Mason
Dr. Mason serves as Dean of the School of Business at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina. |
Dr. Arlene Mlodzik
Arlene Mlodzik has been Dean of the American Business School since 1994. As Dean of ABS, she overseas the academic quality of the two full-time programs : the BBA program and the MA in International Business Development.
She grew up in Toronto, Canada, and completed her undergraduate studies in English and French Literature at Trinity College, University of Toronto. She came to France in 1971 and began her professional career as an English language teacher in business schools.
Her doctoral research, carried out at the Université de Paris 7, concerned the impact of Polish emigration during the 1980s on an established Polish-Canadian parish in Mississauga, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto. At present, she is testing material developed by Dr. Roger Parent, from the University of Alberta. This course, called Cultures in Conflict, was a joint project between the Institut de Gestion Sociale (parent organization for ABS) and the University of Alberta, and essentially facilitates the identification of corporate cultures so that the shortcomings, and thus needs of the company, become apparent.
At present, she teachers courses on Intercultural Studies and Intercultural Mangement, as the student population of the American Business School is almost 60% non-French. |
Dr. Margareta Smith-Knopik
Dr. Margareta Smith Knopik, an associate professor of business and technology at the University of Montana Western in Dillon, Montana, teaches strategic planning and management, business communications, marketing, and entrepreneurship. In addition to her work at Western she is a member of the Beaverhead County Planning Board, which provides a venue for many student-based action research projects. Her research interest is entrepreneurship, exploring how management within established companies can identify, retain, develop and benefit from entrepreneurial employees. Dr. Knopik earned her Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska.

Dr. Frank Mastrianna
Dr Frank Mastrianna is dean emeritus from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where he served as dean of the College of Information Science and Business Administration or 15 years. Prior to being named to this position, he was professor of economics and dean of the College of Business Administration at Xavier University in Cincinnati. Dr. Mastrianna earned a B.S. degree from Xavier University, an M.C.P. in Community Planning, and an M.A. and PhD in economics from the University of Cincinnati. He is the author of three text books in economics, one of which was recently published in its 15th edition. In addition to numerous publications, presentations and visiting professorships, Dr. Mastrianna has been the recipient of a number of teaching, research and research awards. Among his professional activities, he presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Unify Holding Company and the Board of Directors of the Union Central Life Insurance Company. He previous served a five year term on the IACBE Board of Commissioners from 2004 to 2009. He currently resides in Naples, Florida with his wife Carol.
