Accreditation Process

Accreditation Process

The IACBE takes a developmental approach to accreditation and the implementation of its quality assurance process. The IACBE and its members work together in a collaborative and cooperative manner to achieve excellence in business education.

Phases of the Accreditation Process

The process of IACBE accreditation of business programs proceeds in the following four stages:

  1. The academic business unit becomes an educational member of the IACBE.
  2. The academic business unit becomes a candidate for accreditation.
  3. The academic business unit undergoes an accreditation review.
  4. The IACBE Board of Commissioners determines the accreditation status of the academic business unit’s business programs.
